Does anyone know of any jobs that require a pilot license and a paramedic license?

Question by nealm7: Does anyone know of any jobs that require a pilot license and a paramedic license?
I am not talking about helicopter “life flight” type jobs. Those operations have a helicopter pilot “who usually doesn’t have a medical license” and a flight nurse “who usually doesn’t have a pilot license” . I am a commercial pilot and a paramedic. I am looking for a job that I could use both of my skills. (Possibly in a setting like Alaska). I have spent a lot of time researching this and all I have came up with is helicopter type operations.

Answer by Ben Dere Dun Dat
No, not really. If you were a doctor, then you could do something in a place like Alaska, Africa or New Guinea, or the Australian outback if you owned your own plane. As a paramedic, you’re dreaming. It would be a good skill to have to get hired as a bush pilot, but it isn’t something you’d have an opportunity to be paid for. I flew in Alaska for many years and I know what’s what about it. However, since the majority of bush flying is seasonal, being a paramedic would be a good second job to get you through the winter until the next summer flying season, which is roughly April through September.

Nursing Jobs in Lebanon… Anyone who lives there, please read.?

Question by LionsEatFish: Nursing Jobs in Lebanon… Anyone who lives there, please read.?
I was wondering if there were a lot of nursing opportunities in Lebanon. Is it easy for a nurse to get a job there? What about an American nurse? What kind of degree must you have, etc. Would I be able to take a trip to Lebanon and possibly find a permanent job as a nurse there?

Best answer:

Answer by Kate XI
There are lots of hospitals in Leb but also lots of nurses…I dunno what opportunities there are…u only need a nursing degree but the pay is very very low and for a non Lebanese to get a job is even harder.

Not particularly so far. The hardest thing is having confidence on clinical placements.

Expect a mix of groupwork, roleplay, lectures, practical exams, clinical placements in a variety of areas. Expect a fair amount of biology, maths and communication skills. And lots of annoying presentations lol. It’ll probably be about 85% female on the course.

It’s good I recommend it.

Has anyone transfered from riverside community college to Cal state long beach or UCLA for nursing?

Question by Leiah: Has anyone transfered from riverside community college to Cal state long beach or UCLA for nursing?

Best answer:

Answer by ♥
I’m sure it has happened. If you get a decent GPA in CC, you should definitely transfer to Cal States.

But, its a lot harder for UCLA, you need a 3.7 or higher to have a high chance of getting in. Also, nursing is extremely competitive so good grades is very very important.

Does anyone know any good 2nd shift jobs?

Question by Astral: Does anyone know any good 2nd shift jobs?
Just looking to bounce ideas here, see if I haven’t thought of anything. I’m trying to stay on my boyfriend’s schedule and I’m a HORRIBLE morning person. I have experience in customer service, reception, clerical work and nursing assistant jobs (though I’m looking to veer away from nursing homes).

Please, no work from home or start your own business crap. Tried it, hated it. Or anything that needs extra schooling. Thank you. Spammers/smart a**** will be reported.

Has anyone ever attended Chamberlain College of Nursing? ?

Question by Erica P: Has anyone ever attended Chamberlain College of Nursing? ?
I will be starting in March 2009 and I wanted to hear from other people about their experience with this school.

Best answer:

Answer by chocalate goddess
Wow, I was just accepted to this school too and I will be starting in march 09. If you go to allnurses.com, you can search for the school and read all about what people are saying about the school. I’ve heard a lot of great things which made me feel good about my decision to attend there. But on the other hand I’ve read some not so great things too. So I got mixed reviews, however I’m still excited to be starting! Maybe I will see u around campus.
