This fall I will be taking classes at a community college and majoring in Pre-Nursing. (I want to become a Neonatal Nurse…)
After my first two years, I want to transfer to either Regis University or University of Colorado at Denver…
Which university is best for nursing?

Regis is a good school, but UC Denver’s program (at the Anschutz Medical Campus) is among the best in the country.
From UC Denver’s wikipedia page: “UCD’s School of Nursing ranked 15th in the nation in 2007, while among Nurse Practitioner programs, the university is ranked 8th, 5th, and 3rd in the areas of Adult, Family, and Pediatric, respectively”. (see references below)

I would like to know if anyone has had any experience with Exclesior College especially the nursing program…I have been an LPN for more than 20 years and am ready to further my education and I am really interested in online and self directed study..Please give me your feedback……

check out their website by searching excelsior college. I found this very convenient. You need to be very discipline in your study though since this is self-paced. Not valid in California anymore so consider this, too. They do not have any clinical internship. They have a 3-day practical exam. I like the idea that it is independent and self-paced, but the lack of clinical training is a great disadvantage.
