I realize that clinicals have to be done outside the home, but I need to take the basic courses online. I am a single mom and have little ones at home. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I don’t know why Yahoo’s Yellow Pages lists Rock Heath & Fitness Club as a nursing school, but it is the only one listed in Long Island City.
Click ing Beyong Long Island City, there are listings in New York City showing 1-2 miles away for Schools of Medicine and Institutes of Nursing that you may be able to get to.

Southern California is a big place! (Makes it a bit difficult to recommend with all the choices, both public and private)

You also have the option of beginning your nursing studies at a community college (2 years) and then transferring to complete the BSN (2 more years)

There are dozens of universities offering online nursing classes (see source below). As far as the UK, do you live in the UK and want to earn your degree and license in the UK? If so, the requirements are different, so the classes you take from a US college may not qualify you to be a nurse in the UK.
I’ve included a link to Accelerated Degrees below which has a search tool to help you find online nursing programs. I’ve also included a link to the Royal College of Nursing so you can find out what the requirements are for being a nurse in the UK.
