Question by more than words: I want to be a nurse when I am older so I am wondering do nurses make good money?
and I heard that nurses don’t have lives because they must always be on call for work. Is this true? Can nurses make their own hours? And is it easy to find a job as a nurse right now or is the medical industry packed tight?

Yes. I am a home health nurse. I would suggest the home care field. Better hours and pay.

If you are in the US, nursing is most definitely worth pursuing as a career. The impending retirement of many baby boomers is creating great demand for nurses. My sister and mother are both nurses; my sister has her pick of choice jobs and my mother, who is in her mid-60s, is contacted every week with job offers.

While I am not of that age, I just graduated college and there were five or six in my ceremony alone who were over the age of 50, one over the age of 70. Many of them were also wearing honors cords. So, if it is in your heart, you can do anything!! Good luck to you.

My daughter is 6 months and refuses to nurse since a few months ago when I went back to work. She has expressed milk in a bottle every day. Is there hope to get her to nurse again?
I work full-time, so I only have AM and PM feeds with her and weekends.

try taking a couple days off and lying in bed with her in teh early mornings- if she wakes at night offer breast only
