How do you feel about women taking high paying jobs away from men who are supposed to be the breadwinners?

Question by Sandstorm222: How do you feel about women taking high paying jobs away from men who are supposed to be the breadwinners?
I think we would have a much lower unemployment rate if women would stop going to college for high paying jobs in the business and government sector. If they want to go to college they should pick something with feminine and nurturing qualities like being a nurse. You know what I am saying?

What are the highest paying jobs that can be obtained with a BA in Psychology?

Question by Marita: What are the highest paying jobs that can be obtained with a BA in Psychology?
I am planning on attending a four year university in California to obtain my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.
I am interested in Psychiatric Nursing and wish to have a good-paying job after graduating from the university until I can become a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.
I would like to know of the opportunities that would be directly available to me after graduating from the university.
Thank you for your help!

If you have sales ability, the best paying job may be insurance sales. It almost impossible to find a job related to psychology with just a bachelor’s degree and any such job will pay little more than the minimum wage.

Is it possible to study nursing in college and then change to be an accountant? without paying extra money?

Question by PrivateName112: Is it possible to study nursing in college and then change to be an accountant? without paying extra money?
i think i might want to become an rn but i am not sure. I plan on shadowing a nurse in january.. but college apps are due november.. So if i apply to a school and put that i want to be in the nursing program.. could i some how change it to be an accountant before school starts without any fees. and the reason im putting nursing first is because its a hard program to get into right? And wait.. you dont get accepted into the program till a year after your in college. after you take the pre reqs? So.. if i take those biology classes and stuff. could those still count as credits to my accountant classes without any fees.?

you guys know what im saying? sorry my grammar isnt that good . if someone could please help me. it would make my day

thank you in advance.

You can absolutely change your mind before school starts without any fees. Unless you have a scholarship or award that was given to you because you wanted to go into nursing there shouldn’t be a problem. An accountant would still need electives and usually at least one science class, so most of your classes would probably transfer over fine and you wouldn’t end up with any useless credits, but be careful planning that first semester and don’t take anything that won’t count for both (most freshman classes will though)

Well i live in phoenix and Banner Estrella Hospital has a great nursing program. I don’t know what it’s called, but right now they have this program where they pay for your nursing school expenses and to “pay them back” by working for them for 2 years. You get paid and it’s a guarenteed job.. Also it’s in a very great part of town..

Yes. Just being a RN (Registered Nurse) pays a lot as well. You can make between $ 50,000 and $ 80,000 (the $ 80,000 is in the Bay Area of California) depending on where you live and work. Also after a couple years of experience you can become a travel RN and make even more and sometimes you get free housing for where you are working or if not you get extra compensation for an estimated cost of housing and you rent an apartment or stay at a hotel. Nursing can be done with an accredited ADN (Associates Degree in Nursing) or a BSN (Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing degree). Also finding a job will be easy because there has been a shortage of Nurses and the baby boomers that are Nurses are getting close to retiring ssoon (next couple of years) so there will be an even bigger shortage.
