Question by Baby G: Can working in a group home help me with my plans to be a nurse?
So I am thinking of taking a job in a group home working with the mentally disabled. I also would like to get into nursing school. Will working at a group home help me with being a nurse? And how?

Absolutely, nurses are the backbone of the health care system. They are over worked and under appreciated. Working in this particular setting would help you develop patient skills that are indispensable in a hospital. Good luck.
