Question by emandem: is there a adn jobs offer now in canada?as adn nurse, am i qualified to take a canadian nurse licence exam?
i finish my associate degree nursing in philippines, and im working on my papers now to be in canada and take this said exam c.r.n.e. am i qualified to take this exam as adn nurse ?thanks so much
Answer by Z
Not likely. Standards and practices are sufficiently different that your Philippine qualifications won’t quite allow you to take any Canadian exams. You would need to check with the nursing association of whatever province applies to you.
Canada has about 1 and a half million (yes, that’s 1,500,000) unemployed citizens some of whom are nurses. What few jobs there may be won’t go to foreigners but to one of our own people so you’re up against a lot of other Canadian nurses.

Question by Mbadiwe: US qualified nurse – Jobs in UK?
My wife is in the final semester of her nursing degree in the USA and will be coming over to the UK once she completes her studies.
– what are her opportunities in the UK and
– where should we begin with regards to Job hunting
She is also a talented dialysis technician with 2 years practical experience in the US
Please note that the focus is on what opportunities exist in the UK for a US qualified nurse.

It’s always good to start out by sending her CV to a dozen of various diff hospitals in uk.
After you get accepted , then you can take care of the visa and then fly there.
